Max Blumenthal's latest takes us on a shocking and at times bizarre tour of right-wing Pastor John Hagee's annual Washington-Israel Summit, blowing the cover off the Christian Zionist movement in the process. Starring Joe Lieberman, Tom DeLay, Pastor John Hagee, Ambassador Dore Gold and a host of rapture-ready evangelicals praying for Armaggedon.

Bung Ridha, ada artikel menarik di the New Yorker edisi 30 Juli tentang seorang politisi Israel mantan ketua Knesset, yang mulai 'menyerah' dan skeptis tentang Zionisme Israel. Sila di simak, mungkin bisa dibaca online.
ReplyDeleteThanks for infonya mbak.
ReplyDeleteNgelihat video ini saya agak merinding... kok bisa ya ada orang2 yang tega2nya dan bernafsu menginginkan kehancuran negara lain, perang dunia armageddon, dengan cost jutaan nyawa manusia just because of their hope for Jesus second coming? Kok bisa ya mereka mengklaim followers of Jesus tapi tidak mengikuti ajaran Jesus "love your enemies"? Lihat juga kata2 mereka: "we have common enemies: Moslems", "the one behind Moslems people is Satan", "to save civilizations we got to fight the Moslems".
I really hope many people in the world are aware and cautious about these extremist groups who are trying to use their influence and lobbies to spread wars. We need more sane and tolerant people who can foster cordial and peaceful relationships among people of different faiths on the earth that we are living in, especially in this time of age where extremists everywhere are trying their best to incite everyone to start the clash of civilizations.
A comment from someone in Minnesota Monitor:
ReplyDelete"If this were a group of Muslims meeting and acting in such a way, Fox News and Bill O'Reilly would have been broadcasting live and announcing that all Muslims and Islam advocate such beliefs. Why is it only the "lunatic fringe" when it comes to Christians? I also don't hear other Christian groups openly and publicly apologizing for the behavior of this group, even though they are doing this in the name of Jesus Christ. Why isn't the media questioning where these apologists are? So many times I have heard that Muslims don't speak up and out against "radical" Islam, yet I didn't hear Christians speaking out against Pat Robertson's call to assassinate the President of Venezuela or Hagee's call to unilaterally attack Iran. In fact, elected U.S. officials were taking part in this fiasco. Interesting!!!"
